January 2025 Updates to Our Employee Manual Products Released

We’ve recently updated our HR Policies and Procedures Manual, as well as the NDIS Self-Managers Direct Employment Manual and the NDIS Support Worker Agency Manual.

These updates incorporate recent changes to Flexible Unpaid Parental Leave and introduce a new policy on Modern Slavery, developed in response to client requests. We have also revised the Workplace Bullying and Sexual Harassment policy and the Internet and Social Media policy.

Additionally, new forms have been added to support the Modern Slavery and Sexual Harassment policies.

HR Policies – New Policies

  • Chapter 4 – Behaviour and Code of Conduct – Modern Slavery. We have received many requests for a Modern Slavery policy. This policy is designed to assist small and micro businesses comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth)

HR Policies – Updated Sections

  • Chapter 2 – Conditions of Employment – Flexible Unpaid Parental Leave. Added the dates that increase the amount of parental leave that can be taken if the child is born or placed for adoption.
  • Chapter 4 – Behaviour and Code of Conduct – Workplace Bullying and Sexual Harassment. Added a new section Complaints Procedure (For Incidents by Clients, Suppliers, or other non-employees)
  • Chapter 6 – Information Technology – Internet and Social Media. Fully rewritten for better flow and clarity and to reflect emerging platforms.

Induction Manual

  • Nil

HR Forms

  • Supplier Modern Slavery Code of Conduct (New) – Businesses can provide this to suppliers to assist in ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
  • Modern Slavery Risk Assessment Template (New) – This can be used to help when conducting a modern slavery risk assessment.
